Established in 1985, The Mississauga Early Bird AA Hockey Tournament consistently attracts top Minor Atom to Midget teams seeking to measure themselves against the competition as they prepare for the season ahead. For 2011, the Mississauga Early Bird proved once again to be the early bird tournament of choice, attracting some 178 teams and over 3,000 players in nine divisions. If you want to measure yourself against good competition, this is the pre-season tournament you won't want to miss!

Space is Limited - Apply Today: Teams will be accepted on a first come basis. Registration must be received by July 31, 2012. Tournament operated under GTHL/Hockey Canada sanctions and regulations. All players must be registered on 2012/2013 HC/AHAUS cards. Team must produce properly signed letter of permission from their respective league.
Divisions, Game Duration and Registration fee: Canadian funds. U.S.A. teams add $50.00 per Hockey Canada rule. No gate fee.

Tournament Sanctioned Hotel Accommodations: As a condition of acceptance, out-of-town teams will be required to register and stay at a Mississauga Early Bird approved hotel. See here for available locations.

No school conflicts . . . weekday games start at 6:30 PM. Minor Atom and Atom teams in the East not starting before 6.45 on Monday to Thursday. With nearly three decades of experience, the Mississauga Early Bird Tournament Committee, backed by an outstanding group of dedicated volunteers, have proven their commitment to providing a stress free experience with no hassles and no delays.

Easy highway access . . . just minutes off Highways 401 & 403. Located in the heart of Mississauga and close to great hotels, restaurants and shopping, the Mississauga Early Bird Hockey Tournament utilizes top quality facilities, all within close proximity to one and other.

No gate fee . . . friends and family may enjoy all games at no additional cost. The Mississauga Early Bird Tournament registration fee is highly competitive and very reasonable at $1,100 for Minor Atom to Peewee and $1,150 for Minor Bantam to Midget, all of whom will compete in a minimum of three games.
FIRST-CLASS FACILITIES
The 2012 Mississauga Early Bird Tournament will utilize rinks at Hershey Centre, Iceland and Tomken multi-pad arenas, all of which offer a pro shop, food & beverage services and premium spectator areas. Extremely convenient, these first-class facilities are within minutes of each other.
PLAYER WELCOME, MVP RECOGNITION & QUALITY TROPHIES
Every player will receive a welcome package, plus there will be MVP awards for each team in every game. Finalists and championship teams will receive awesome trophies to celebrate their accomplishment.
